Ok so I need a little help from anyone who knows about computers, here is my problem. Usually when i play in certain servers or maps such as our crackhouse 24/7 server. My game runs smooth my fps is around 50-60 (shitty but its the best I can do.) But last night when I was playing in the rotation server, map militia, my fps was 11 and my game was running so slow as if I was in the matrix. When i moved my mouse it would be extra slow to respond when I was outside in the map where the trees and shit are at ct spawn. But on the same map when I go into the underground tunnel it would run smooth again. So I think that where there is extra detail to the map it starts to lag my cs. But in the same rotation server when we were playing italy, everything was fine. Anybody know why this happens or what I can do to fix it, any suggestions would be appreciated.

I used to have the same problem. Some maps are more complex visually than others. Casey's Config or the CEVO config is a good help. Also, go into your video options and play around with it. Downgrading world or model details from high to medium or low will give you a good fps boost. It won't be pretty anymore, but is more for performance. If all else fails, set your DirectX one level lower than is recommended.

How did you fix it if you had the same problem?

Just what I said. Took a few bits and pieces from different configs and played around with my video settings until I found a good combination. For instance, my model and texture detail is set to medium while my shader and shadow detail is set to low. Even changing your aspect ratio and resolution can be a big help. Normal 4:3 aspect ratio and 800x600 resolution works well with older graphics cards like mine.

You'll have to play around with the rates and some of the config files unless your willing to upgrade your computer a little bit.... also make sure that you aren't running anything like utorrent or other bandwidth hogs while your playing.... 50-60 fps isn't to bad for the most part... also check with your internet provider as your signal strength could be a factor... This was a problem i faced a couple months back where i'd play for 5 mins or so smooth then bang! super slow motion lag! turns our my ISP signal strength was very low.....
Good Luck!

I m gonna build my own pc soon from scratch so for now i gotta bear with this crap. I m gonna play around with the CVARs and shit to see what if I can fix it but for the most part I can play in crackhouse and texture maps perfectly.
